Mount Vernon Ohio Real Estate Report

A client asked me this morning how many homes were available for sale within the Mount Vernon Ohio School District so I ran an "Active Listing" report and thought the information was worth sharing.  The following details came directly from the Knox County Ohio MLS on October 11th, 2010:

  • There are 218 homes for sale within the Mount Vernon Ohio School District
  • The average listing price for a Mount Vernon Ohio Home today is only $154,637
  • The lowest priced Mount Vernon Ohio home for sale is listed for only $25,000 
  • The highest priced Mount Vernon Ohio home for sale is listed for $1,300,000
  • From 1-1-10 through today 10-11-10 there has been 174 homes sell in this area
  • The average sales price for the Mount Vernon Ohio homes that sold was $110,434

Knox County Ohio April Home Sale Report

The Knox County Ohio monthly residential home sales report is complete and the average sales price was up for April.  According to the Knox County MLS there were 24 residential home sales in April with $141,167 being the average sales price for the month.  The lowest priced home sold for $17,000 which was a bank repossession and the highest priced home sold for $505,000.  The total dollar volume for sold and closed homes for April was $3,388,026 for the month.

There are currently 369 homes that are available and listed as ACTIVE in the Knox County MLS which is an impressive number.  The average listing price for a Knox County Ohio home is $157,070 and the grand total for all available homes listed in the Knox County Ohio MLS is $57,959,134.

Knox County Ohio Home Sales for March 2009

The Knox County Ohio Board of Realtors and the Knox County MLS reported $3,427,750 in residential home sales within Knox County in March 2009.  There were 25 residential homes sale reported in March with an average sales price of $137,100.  The least expensive frame constructed home sold was $21,000 and the highest priced home sold in March sold for $429,000.  For comparison purposes in 2008 there were 36% more homes sold than this past March yet this March the average sales price was nearly $5,000 higher than in 2008.  The end result is fewer homes sold in March of 2009 yet the average sales price was higher.

During March there were 93 new listings added to the existing Knox County MLS.  The average listing price for March was $153,805 which is actually above average.  The total dollar volume in new home listings in Knox County that were added to the MLS in March was $14,303,909.  For comparison purposes there were only 59 residential new listings added in February and only 43 residential new listings added in January 2009.  As of today there are 360 residential homes on the market for sale in Knox County.  Based on the 25 homes that sold in Knox County in March 2009...there is over 14 months of active home listings or inventory currently on the market for sale.
